Neurodiversity for Mindfulness Teachers is a 2 x 3-hour live online training (in English) in neuro-affirmative mindfulness teaching. Read more about this training →

It is designed to improve teaching clarity, flexibility, effectiveness, and inclusion, and reduce the risk of causing unintentional harm and retraumatising. Traditional mindfulness methods often overlook the specific sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs of neurodivergent individuals.

This workshop moves beyond “one size fits all” teaching, supporting mindfulness without the need to “mask” or suppress authentic selves to fit a meditative mould.

For qualified mindfulness teachers, supervisors and retreat facilitators who want a clear framework plus practical tools you can use immediately.

What to expect?

We use the Seven Spokes of The Skilful Teaching Wheel (based on the MBI:TAC) as our roadmap. The session blends:

  • Didactic Teaching: Understanding different neurotypes and perspectives.
  • Practical Frameworks: Key considerations for the pre-course, mid-course, and post-course phases.
  • Interactive Learning: Small group activities, personal reflection, and Q&A.

Neurodiversity for Mindfulness Teachers: The Workshop

The Workshop is a 2 x 3-hour live online training for mindfulness teachers who want to learn the foundations of neuro-affirmative mindfulness teaching. Traditional mindfulness teaching methods might not resonate with or fully support neurodivergent individuals. The information in this experiential workshop is designed to inspire teachers to adapt some of these methods, creating a learning environment that is inclusive and supportive.

It is intended to support neurodivergent participants and teachers in exploring mindfulness without suppressing their neurodivergent traits or hiding their authentic selves. This enables neuro-affirming practice, which can make mindfulness more accessible and effective for one’s own neurotype and
personhood.

For who
This workshop is for qualified teachers, trainees, supervisors, mentors, and retreat facilitators who want to build confidence to adapt their methods, creating an environment that recognises, embraces, and celebrates the unique perspectives of every participant.
